Haiti Bleeds While Trump and MAGA Cheer the Chains They Helped Forge

Haiti was born from revolution and betrayed by empire. Now Trump and MAGA turn its suffering into a punchline while ignoring the wounds the West carved into the first free Black republic.

Haiti Bleeds While Trump and MAGA Cheer the Chains They Helped Forge

Haiti has been robbed in broad daylight, and the thieves wear red hats and speak of making America great while a nation burns.

The first free Black republic on this earth, born from the whips and blood of enslaved people who dared to rise, is now treated like a stain to be scrubbed away by the very empire that fears its example.

Understand this clearly. Haiti did not fall from the sky broken. It was broken by hands. French hands demanded gold for the crime of freedom. American hands occupied its soil for nearly two decades. And now MAGA hands wave it off as a nightmare, a punchline, a threat at the border.

๐Ÿ”ฅ The Lie They Tell About Haiti

Trump stood before crowds and called this proud land the vilest of names. He spread poison about people eating pets. He turned suffering into a carnival of cruelty, and the MAGA faithful roared with laughter.

That laughter is the sound of empire.

They mock Haiti not because it is weak, but because it was once brave enough to be free without permission.

My family has a saying, and the whole tribe repeats it at every loud kitchen table gathering when the plantains are frying and somebody is yelling about politics over the music. You do not laugh at a drowning man unless you are the one who pushed him. And the empire pushed. Oh, how it pushed.

๐Ÿ’ฅ The Boot on the Neck

When the Trump administration moved to strip protected status from Haitian people living in the United States, it was not policy. It was a spear thrown at the vulnerable.

These are workers. These are mothers. These are the kind of people who build with two hands what the wealthy destroy with a signature.

Consider the truth laid bare:

  • Haiti was forced to pay France for the audacity of its own liberation.
  • The United States occupied Haiti and shaped its institutions to serve foreign interests.
  • Today MAGA politicians treat Haitian refugees as invaders rather than survivors of a wound the West carved.

This is the dialectic of oppression. The powerful create the crisis, then punish the victims of it. They light the house on fire and then arrest the people fleeing the flames.

โšก Gangs, Guns, and Who Really Profits

They speak of Haiti and its armed gangs as though violence sprouted from Haitian soil like weeds.

Where do the guns come from? They flow south from the United States, from the gun markets that MAGA lawmakers defend with their dying breath. The same politicians who scream about crime in Port-au-Prince refuse to lift a single finger to stop the rivers of weapons pouring across the sea.

The chaos is imported. The suffering is exported back as an excuse for contempt.

A people cannot heal while a boot presses on the throat, and the boot has been shined by both parties, though only one now wears it with a grin.

๐ŸŒŽ Why Haiti Terrifies the Empire

There is a reason the powerful cannot forgive Haiti.

In 1804 the enslaved defeated Napoleon. They proved that the wretched of the earth could seize their own destiny with machetes and fire and unbreakable will. That memory is a dagger held to the throat of every empire built on the backs of the poor.

MAGA does not fear Haiti's weakness. It fears Haiti's history. It fears what happens when the humiliated remember they once stood up and won.

The whole family knows this feeling. When somebody rises from nothing, the comfortable ones sneer to hide their terror. They cannot stand the sight of dignity in people they were taught to pity.

โœŠ The Reckoning Owed

Justice for Haiti is not charity. It is a debt. A blood debt written across two centuries.

France owes it. The United States owes it. And the movement that turned Haitian suffering into a rally chant owes the loudest apology of all, though it will never offer one, because cruelty is its currency.

The Haitian people do not beg. They endure. They rebuild in the rubble with hands that have never known rest, and they carry within them the oldest and most dangerous idea in the hemisphere.

That the oppressed were never meant to stay on their knees.

Let the empire laugh. History has a way of collecting what is owed, and the descendants of revolution do not forget the sound of chains, nor the faces of those who forged them.
